i like warm colours & colors that rock (for socks).Are you a new sock knitter?

i like the heel with short rows and the toe knitted with decreases like a band. last i knitted the "embossed leaves" (iwk winter 05) - a perfect, wonderful pattern.What are your favorite sock knitting techniques?
