den pfingst-besuch bei den eltern habe ich wie angekündigt zum nähen genutzt. da ich schon mit einfachsten schnitten überfordert bin, hilft es ungemein, die wohlausgestattete nähmaschine meiner mutter samt immer passender nähseide sowie das bügeleisen nutzen zu können (inkl. guter mütterlicher ratschläge, wenn´s gar nicht mehr geht). hat aber alles gut geklappt und fein säuberlich abgesteckt oder vorgeheftet sind dann zwei projekt-taschen fertig geworden: beide nach demselben schnitt, innen gefüttert und mit satinbändern zu schließen. der stoffverbrauch hält sich mit 35 cm pro tasche auch im rahmen und mit etwas übung sind sie fix genäht. die beige-blaue wird dann auch bald die reise zu meinem hogwarts-sock-kit-pal antreten. und die grün-bunte hat ja schon einen zwilling in new mexico.

lena made such a charming kit for me and everything was so thoughtful:
the bag is perfectly seized for knitting projects and i love the colors turquoise & brown.
for my hogwart socks i got a magic skein sockyarn with bamboo hand-dyed from our friend andrea in brown, gold and ocher (like the lion of gryffindor) and also a pattern for knitting socks toe-up.

for this project i will really need my new knitting wands from mr. ollivander himself: two sets of takumi bamboo dpns in 2,25 as well as my yellow chibi with new tapestry needles.
and look here for the enchanting details:
nevilles toad, the box from mr. ollivander and the great stitchmarkers in gryffindor colors!
lena made also a small bag with a zipper to store the yarn and for my entertaining while knitting and waiting for HP 07 she included a box of bertie bott’s every flavor beans as well as 2 DVD´s (the sorcerer stone and the chamber of secrets).

it was so funny that you´ve been my pal and eyerything is so amazing and gorgeous. thank you so much, lena!

yesterday at the meet to knit lena surprised me with my hogwarts-sock-kit. as luck would have she was my secret pal. because i´m a little bit in hurry today i can only give you a first view of the bag. next week when i will be back from my weekend-trip to munich i will show you everything:

HSKS update

gestern nachmittag kam lena nach wiesbaden und wir haben gemeinsam die stadt durchstreift auf der suche nach zutaten für unser HSKS-pal. und dank lena habe ich nun auch den stoff für die tasche: sandfarben mit aufgestickten blüten und einmal blau mit weißen streifen. mit im bild sind auch die maschenmarkierer und nochmal die wolle - nun fehlt noch die anleitung für die socken und ein paar kleinigkeiten und anfang juni geht es dann auf die reise...

netterweise hatte mich heute nach diesem ausgedehnten stadtbummel der heuschnupfen wieder fest im griff (gestern war es echt ok draußen). also wurde mehr geniest als gestrickt und gerade fühle ich mich, als hätte ich die nacht durchgemacht...ufz.

another ballband dishcloth - i found it halfway done while sorting my stash for the move - and now its the first finished project of the new home. it´s posing with a skein asia, a new bamboo/cotton-mix from lana grossa i would like to try.
AND
today is also kickoff of the hogwarts-sock-kit-swap! i´m so fidgety about it....and have already ordered my copy of HP07.
