september 1st and time for starting some new projects to welcome the autumn.
first of all i´m a participant of the ravelry scarf exchange and last week i got the name of my pal and her preferences. so i was thinking and planning, browsing patterns and looking for the perfect yarn last week - the decisions are made already but will be kept secret while i´m knitting to surprise my pal (hello meg!).
secondly and to avoid some boredom (...) there´s a persuasion read and knitalong in the next two months. i´m a great fan of the novels of jane austen and love this one (also known as anne elliot or (here in germany) verführung / überredung). you also choose a knitting project which matches the theme and i decided to continue with my hibernating featherweight fantasy project. in my opinion this shawl would be a proper accessory for anne while travelling with her beloved husband captain wentworth. i plan do a english/german reading and also enjoy the librivox version (eng) while knitting.
into the bargain i got a copy of the norah gaughan collection #1 from claudia yesterday. so more attractive pattern to think about in the house...
