it was high time for something finished here. in fact i can´t remember my last fo.... hmmm, a pair of fetching one week ago and a pair of socks in august.
but today was the day of anais: the cap sleeves and the circle motif have been sewn in as well as the last loose ends. i knitted front and back in rounds and already washed/blocked the whole thing last week. it was a ad-hoc project started in september when i got my issue of norah gaughan vol. 1.
i fell in love with this pattern immediately and used some drops alpaca from my stash (about 200g) with needles 3,5 (us 4) and 6 (us 10). because my gauge was off i modified the pattern a little bit and also added some length. and now i´m really happy that it´s finished and look forward to wear it soon and often.
EDIT 10-29-07
i combined it today with a black longsleeve and grey trousers. it´s warm and cozy - love it!
thank you so much for your lovely comments and support!

just a quick update after my first weekend without any wisdom-teeth - you see i´m fine and happy =)
i´m still and slowly knitting on anais. this evening while knitting (stockinette *yawn*) and shaping the armholes and thinking about where to start the neckline i decided to knit the spider-web which will be inserted into the front. and here it is: funny knitting, dropping stitches and a shape which magically appears after casting off.
...off again on the sofa still knitting.....
what´s looking like some self-knitted lawn is the beginning of anais from norah gaughan´s volume one. it´s a great pattern book and i would like best to knit all these wonderful designs - just my style.
so - ignoring all my started stuff - i casted on for anais with some smooth, gras-green alpaca from drops (col. 7238) and began to knit front and back in rounds. till now i reached almost the height (adding some length) to start shaping the armholes. since knitting stockinette isn´t really exciting i´m now looking forward to try the spider-web for the neckline.
